Presented to you by the Preservation Society of Charleston, this is a great event for those who have always wanted a sneak peek inside the grandoise homes of the historic South of Broad district, along with homes in some of Charleston's oldest nieghborhoods - Ansonborough, Elliotborough, Cannonborough, Wraggborough and Radcliffborough.

Legare Farm Fall Activities (843) 559-0788 - Johns Island, SC
Young or old, if you love the sights, smells and tastes of Fall, you must visit Legare Farm on John's Island for a day of fun. Featuring a huge pumpkin patch, a 12 acre faux corn maze made from native wax myrtles, a petting zoo, hayrides, scarecrow making sessions and all sorts of delicious foods and drinks fresh from Legare Farm! Boone Hall Fright Night - Mt. Pleasant, SC
If you are ready for a scare, head to Boone Hall to visit the Bloodstone Manor, the Fright Stalkers Corn Field, the Body Farm Haunted Hayride and the Psycho Clowns Side Show. If you aren't up for night of terror, visit the Boone Hall pumpkin patch during the day for family-friendly activities.

Enjoy a home and garden show featuring the Charleston Horticulutral Society. Locally grown winter annuals will be sold so if you love flowers, don't miss this!

Follypalooza 2010 - Folly Beach, SC
Head out to Folly Beach for the annual Follypalooza on Center Street! Featuring blues singer/songwriter Big Bill Morganfield, along with some local greats, this musical festival is going to be GREAT. Free and open to the public, sit back, relax and enjoy some great music.

Park Day Festival on Daniel Island - Daniel Island, SC
If jamming out on Folly isn't your scene, check out Park Day on D.I offering arts and crafts, boat rides on the Wando River, garden clinics, an oyster roast and DOG ACTIVITIES galore! Live music all day as well. Bring the kids...bring the pups and bring your love for everything Lowcountry! Free and open to the public.
October 24, 2010 (12pm-5pm)
Oktoberfest - Daniel Island, SC
Daniel Island is gearing up for a busy weekend with Park Day and the famous Oktoberfest this weekend, featuring live pompah music, German dancers, all the German beer you can drink and a variety of German food. This event will offer lots of activities for kids - just make sure to remember your blankets and lawn chairs! $5 in advance, $7 at the lawn!

Trunk or Treat! - Bethany United Methodist Church on James Island (843) 795-3527
This event is sure to bring families from all over Charleston for BUMC's annual Trunk or Treat event! Open to the public, families are encouraged to come with a decorated car trunk full of Halloween treats! Children will trick or treat from each car trunk and prizes will be awarded to the BEST decorated cars! Other activities will include dinner, costume contests for the kids, halloween games and a Haunted Walk Thru The Woods, presented by the James Island youth.

Charleston kiddos will have an opportunity to go green this Halloween by learning about and sampling products from Stretch Island Fruit Co.

Tour da Coops at the McClellanville Arts Center - Awendaw
Learn about raising free range chickens for eggs and meat. Activities include a lecture on chicken culture, arts and crafts workshops using eggs and feathers, an exhibit of chicken photographs, and a chance to win a folk art chicken tractor in the shape of a hen. $5-$10

Holiday Festival of Lights (843) 795-7275 - James Island County Park
Experience 500,000 lights illuminating the 3 mile driving tour of James Island County Park. $10 per car and offers a marshmellow roast and a 54 passenger train ride through the enchanting, festive park to view the show.
